Main language in WordCamp Jyväskylä 2018 will be Finnish, but some content will be also in English.
WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress, the free and open source personal publishing software that powers over 75 million sites on the web.
WordCamps come in all different flavors, based on the local communities that produce them, but in general, WordCamps include sessions on how to use WordPress more effectively, beginning plugin and theme development, advanced techniques, design, security, etc. To get an idea of the types of sessions typically seen at WordCamps, check out the videos from the previous events in Finland: 2015, 2016 and 2017.

The first WordCamp was organised in San Francisco by Matt Mullenweg in 2006, and since then local communities around the world have organized hundreds of others. The first WordCamp Finland was held in Tampere in May 2015 followed by a second one in Helsinki in April 2016. Third WordCamp in Finland was held exactly year later in Helsinki.

WordCamp Jyväskylä 2018 will be held at Sokos Hotel Alexandra in the center of Jyväskylä. Address is Hannikaisenkatu 15, which is within about a 2 minutes walk from the central train and bus station.
The center of Jyväskylä is compact and all services are achievable by walking. Google Maps can help in finding out best routes around Jyväskylä.
